People Who Inspired Me

I really love my family. Especially my parents. They love me whoever or whenever I do some bad things. But person who inspired me a lot is my father. He’s a strong man. He work so hard for my family. For our future, he worked from I woke up until Im gonna sleep. He’s getting older and older every years, and I can’t saw him if he’s tired. Because all I thing is my regret. I am disappointed with my self, why am I didn’t do something that can make my dad proud with her daughter. I always thingking about that and im trying to be a good daughter for him. And I always treated him so special because when I spend my time with him, every minutes every seconds is important for me. It’s becausee my dad worked in Solo, and he came to Bandung just in Saturday and Sunday.

My father’s name was Handy Gunawan. He is son from grand father Akung and grand mother  Apoh. He is the 6^th son from Gunawan’s family. My dad born in 2^nd December. He was so smart and so diligent. His life is full of schedule, so neat and on time. If I said “ please come at 9 pm” he will come right when the clock appoint at 9. My dad was tall enough for an old man, I never exceed my father’s body because I thing my dad getting taller and taller every years.

He had to go to Solo because his office told him to go there and work as team leader in a field. My dad must be tired for worked 5 days a week and went to Bandung just to meet his daughter. But I know it’s a must to avoid lost contact from father to his daughter. That’s why I love him. He will do anything for his family, especially his daughter. I know every dad do the same thing to their child, but I thing my dad had a  few special thing that I adore it so much. He never complain about his life. He always trying to be strong and not telling his problems to others.

I just want to say to you dad, that you are the person that inspired me so bad. You aare my hero and I love you so much. Im sorry that I can’t make you proud now. But I promise, with dad and mom prayers I can make something that make our family proud. At least I can be an useful person and not doing a stupid things that can ruin our life. I thank to God I can live in this family and feel so warm in this family. Please be healthy so dad and mom can see my effort and my result. I really love you dad and mom!

Beauty and The Beast

         Once upon a time, an Enchantress turned a handsome prince into a terrible beast when she discovered his selfishness. She left behind and enchanted rose. If the prince did not find the true love before the last rose petal fell, he would remain a beast forever.

         In a village nearby, Belle lived with her father. More than anything, Belle wanted an adventure like those she read about in her beloved books. Gaston wanted to marry Belle,but she refused. Belle thought he was a beastly bore, and Gaston didn’t understand why she was always reading

 “ it’s not right for a woman to read,” he said.

        Belle’s father, Maurice, was a inventor. His latest invention was an automatic woodchopper, which he was taking to a contest at the country fair.

 “ you’ll win the first prize!” Belle declared.

        On his way  to the fair, Maurice got lost in the woods. A pack of wolves chased him to the gates of a nearby castle. Not sure what he would find inside, Maurice entered the castle grounds cautiosly. Maurice could never have imagined the hideous beast that confronted him. Thinking Maurice had come to stare at him, the Beast was furious. Without mercy, he locked this unwanted visitor in the dungeon.

        When her father’s horse came home alone, Belle went in search of her father and found him locked up. Belle begged the Beast for Maurice’s freedom.

  “ take me instead,” she offered.

        The beast agreed, making her promise to stay in the castle forever! On her first night, Belle met the castle servants. The spell cast by the Enchantress had turned them into enchanted objects! They were funny, friendly, and treated Belle like a special guest.

        At dinnertime, Belle refused the Beast’s invitation to join him, which made him roar with frustration. He was anxious to end the spell – and felt Belle was a sign of hope. Mrs. Potts, the teapot, and Lumiere, the candelabrum, told him to be patient and, above all, kind.

        Later that night, Belle came upon the magic rose the Enchantress had left behind. As belle reached out to touch it, the Beast apeared and grabbed the precious rose.

“ Get out!” he yelled.

        Belle fled the castle on her horse but was attacked by the same wolves that had chased her father. Risking his life, the Beast saved Belle. In the days that followed, Belle began to see the goodness in the Beast.

        One evening, the Beast again invited Belle to dinner. This time she accepted. After dinner, the Beast asked Belle to dance. As they whirled around the ballroom, the Beast realized he was in love with Belle. Because of his love, the Beast let Belle return home to see her father. When Gaston heard her speak fondly of the Beast, he grew jealous and stormed the castle.

        Gaston stabbed the Beast and then was accidentally knocked off the roof. Belle pulled the Beast to safety. “ please don’t leave me,” she sobbed. “ i love you.” As she spoke, the last rose petal fell. Then a shower of sparks filled the air. The Beast began to transform into a handsome prince! Finally, they love each other and happily ever after.

• Otters in General

Otters are carnivorous mammals in the subfamily Lutrinae. Lutrinae is a branch of the weasel family Mustelidae, which also includes badgers, honey badgers, martens, minks, polecats, weasels, and wolverines.

• Etymology

The word otter derives from the old English word otor or oter. This, and cognate words in other Indo-European languages, ultimately stem from the Proto-Indo-European languages root *wódr̥, which also gave rise to the English word "water”.

• Life cycle

The gestation period in otters is about 60 to 86 days. The holt is built under tree roots or a rocky cairn, more common in Scotland. It is lined with moss and grass.

• Terminology

An otter's den is called a holt or couch. Male otters are called dogs or boars, females are called bitches or sows, and their offspring are called pups. The feces of otters are typically identified by their distinctive aroma. After one month, the pup can leave the holt and after two months, it is able to swim. The pup lives with its family for approximately one year. Otters live up to 16 years; they are by nature playful, and frolic in the water with their pups. Its usual source of food is fish, and further downriver, eels, but it may sample frogs and birds.

• Characteristics

Otters have long, slim bodies and relatively short limbs. Their most striking anatomical features are the powerful webbed feet used to swim, and their seal-like abilities holding breath underwater. They are notable for their ability to use stones to break open shellfish on their stomachs. This skill must be learned by the young. Otters are active hunters, chasing prey in the water or searching the beds of rivers, lakes or the seas. Otters are playful animals and appear to engage in various behaviors for sheer enjoyment, such as making waterslides and then sliding on them into the water.

Universal Studio Singapore

Today I want to share my experience when I went to Universal Studio Singapore. It is 3 years ago, I went to Singapore for a holiday. With my father and sister, I went for 5 days. I really enjoyed the moment. I went to Bugis street, Orchard road and doing some great activity. And of course, the ice cream for orchard road is a must if you go to Singapore. I like the chocolate one and wrapped with bread,  it is very delicious. It’s more good when you eat the ice cream in the night with your beloved person. I hope I can go there again with my beloved one soon J

               

 Wednesday, I woke up in the morning. I am so excited because today I went to Universal Studio Singapore! I can’t wait anymore but I had to be calm. After breakfast, we went to MRT station to go to the USS. After that, we buy a ticket for 3 and go with a monorail train. We arrived in Sentosa island and queue in USS entrance. There’s so many people there. After 30 minutes waiting, finally we arrived at USS. I went to the Transformers - The Ride first. I saw a long queue there, but I still want to play that game. After waiting for 20 minutes, we can entry the the ride. It was so fun and pleasant.

 

After that, I went to the most terrifying and excited game, it was the Roller Coaster!! There is two Roller Coaster, the blue one and the red one. And I think the blue one is more excited than red because there’s no place to put your foot on. So we can swang the foot whenever you scared. It feels free. I rode the blue twice, and the red once, FOR A ROW! 

After play the roller coaster, I went to MUMI, it was a roller coaster too, but the different is the roller coaster is in the building. It is indoor roller coaster. I am so curious, so I went there to play it with my father. It’s dark and I can’t see everything clearly. One ride maybe for 30 peoples. We can see Cleopatra, their dogs, and many things. But I am so sick with the shiny lamp, it just came from nowhere while everything is dark. I kept my eyes on to see everything that I can see, and what I can see is just shiny and flash from camera. Oh, it is a photo merchandise. After that we walked to outside, we look for the photo result, and it is so funny, my face look ugly but my dad face is cute, he’s closed his eyes while riding that. He is super terrifying.

   

In the Universal Studio Singapore, there’s a lot of game that we can ride, but not all of them, some game cannot ride for adult, and some cannnot ride for the children. It’s by your age or your height. I thing the most excited game is the roller coaster, 4D movies, theater, and the Transformer. I forgot about the other game that. I’ve ever rode. All I remember is just the roller coaster, transformer, and the 4D movies.

          Oh ya, I almost forgot, you must tried the rafting, you will not getting wet because there’s a cup in every chair. One ride maybe for 7-8 peoples. While you rode them, you can saw a dinosaurus there with a RAWR sound. It is so pleasant rode it with your family.

Universal Studio Singapore is so fit for your holiday. You can go with your family, friends, or your couple. It is a pleasant place, but you can’t enjoy all the game for one day. You must buy the ticket for 2 days a row because there’s many games which more excited than what im talking about.  Don’t forget to take a photo in the Universal Studio Singapore Simbol, It was a ball with a letter “Universal Studio Singapore”. Don’t forget to come to USS and have fun guys!!
